A month ago today, I wrote a post laying out my full thoughts on the things that the Tennessee Supreme Court ought to do in the realm of regulatory reform and submitted the same to the Court as my formal comment.
Since that time I have also been involved in the submission of two other comments elaborating on points already discussed in that prior post.
My former law partner Lucian Pera and I jointly submitted a comment making a more specific proposal for Tennessee to adopt a replacement version of RPC 5.5. You can download that comment immediately below:
I also am a signatory to a comment advocating for the Court to lessen the restrictions on non-lawyer ownership in conjunction with undertaking other regulatory reforms that can more directly address access to legal services. I was happy to sign on but I did not do any of the heavy lifting on the comment itself that was the work of David Esquivel and others. You can download that comment as well:
